VCFC Secures Three Points in Home Opener

THOUSAND OAKS, Calif. (March 10th, 2025) – Ventura County FC kick started the 2025 MLS NEXT Pro Regular Season with a statement win in front of a sellout crowd at William Rolland Stadium.

Dylan Vanney was named Man of the Match and MLS NEXT Rising Star of Matchweek 1 with his brace against an experienced Tacoma backline. Debutants Chris Rindov and Jason Bucknor were integral in securing the three points with strong performances in the back. Tommy Musto and Jeorgio Kocevski were also immense in the midfield. Vicente Garcia became the first 2010 born player to make his professional debut in MLS NEXT Pro.

Goal-Scoring Summary

VCFC – Dylan Vanney, 15th minute: Vanney was the first to react with an emphatic finish after a dangerous left-footed cross from Bucknor found Bibout at the back post.

VCFC – Luis Muller, 52nd minute: Former LAFC II teammates combined after Tommy Musto whipped in a ball across the face of goal after quick combination play with Bucknor and Karani to find a serging Luis Muller who finished first time.

TAC – Osaze Rosario, 56th minute: Tacoma caused an error with a high press on Brady Scott while playing out from the back.

VCFC – Dylan Vanney, 71st minute: A great switching ball from Kocevski found Muller on the wing who laid it off to Vanney to take on two players and finish at the top of the box into the bottom left corner.

TAC – Osaze Rosario, 79th minute: Rosario scored his second of the match after a near post run and first time finish.
