For the second time this season, Ventura County FC hosts San Jose Earthquakes II on Saturday, July 25th at William Rolland Stadium. Kickoff is set for 7:00 PM and will be streamed on OneFootball and MLSNextPro.com.
In the Top 4
VCFC will come back to William Rolland Stadium following a massive win on July 18th against crosstown rivals, LAFC2. Their win in the SoCal Clásico puts them back in the Top 4 in the Western Conference.
Julian Placias has been deadly in the attack for VCFC and has shown no signs of slowing down. The striker netted his 7th goal of the season against LAFC2, tying him for most goals on the team with Dylan Vanney. Eric Preston doubled VCFC’s lead just 5 minutes after Placias found the back of the net. The 2 goals were enough for the 805 side to secure the win.
Sebastian Conlon was vital to the victory as well, making 9 saves and being named the fans’ Man of the Match. One notable blow to VCFC that will carry over into the upcoming match against San Jose is the red card given to Jose “Pepe” Magaña Jr. against LAFC2. Magaña has been a staple in the VCFC lineup and will not be available for the clash against the Quakes.
VCFC currently sits at 4th in the West with 32 points and a record of 8 wins, 6 losses, and 5 draws.
