VCFC bounded back from their penalty shootout loss against Colorado Rapids 2 in a 3-1 home victory over Real Monarchs. 

Julian Placias was again instrumental to VCFC’s success, providing an assist on the first goal and scoring the second. With his Man of the Match performance against the Monarchs, Placias now has 6 goals and 5 assists in 15 games for the 805 side.

Vinny Garcia scored his 3rd goal of the season, and his first goal at William Rolland Stadium. The 15 year old forward smashed home VCFC’s first goal from inside the box to level the scoreline. Enrique Martinez scored his first professional goal off a Gabriel Arnold set piece to make it 3-1 for VCFC. With a confident performance against the Monarchs, VCFC will head to Canada looking for their 8th win on the season.
