Resilience at Home

VCFC successfully defended their home turf on Sunday April 12th against Real Monarchs by a score of 2-0.

Jose “Pepe” Magaña scored his first professional goal for VCFC, coming in the 49th minute off a cross from Vicente Garcia. Julian Placias nabbed his 3rd goal of the season after winning and scoring a penalty in the 80th minute.

This was VCFC’s 3rd straight clean sheet and 2nd win at home. Sebastian Conlon has been instrumental to the team’s success, making 15 saves in his past 3 games. Conlon made 4 saves against the Monarchs, including a penalty save in the 90th minute. Center-Backs Sebastian Hernandez and Enrique Martinez have also been crucial in keeping these clean sheets.

VCFC currently sits at 3rd in the West with 13 points and an overall record of 3-1-2.
