Back Home
VCFC will return to William Rolland Stadium following a 2-1 loss to St. Louis City 2 last Sunday, April 26.
The roster for the 805 side wasn’t as deep as it usually is against St. Louis. Several players were unavailable, including Julian Placias and Troy Elgersma who were both called up to the LA Galaxy for their match against Real Salt Lake. Brady Scott made a return to the starting 11, making three saves between the sticks, including a stunning kick save from close range in the 20th minute.
Dylan Vanney continued to display his attacking prowess against St. Louis, scoring his 5th goal of the season in the second half. Gabriel Arnold slid the ball past the St. Louis backline to Dylan Vanney. One-on-one with the goalkeeper, Vanney skipped past them for the open goal. This was Arnold’s first assist of the season.
VCFC currently sits at 3rd in the West with 14 points and a record of 3-3-2.
