Ventura County FC faced off against Tacoma Defiance at Starfire Sports Complex, taking home all 3 points in a 1-0 win.

The first half of the match remained scoreless with few opportunities for each side. Tacoma forward Leonardo Flores Gonzalez hit the post from just inside the box in the 16th minute of play. 3 minutes later, Dylan Vanney tested the Tacoma goalkeeper Max Anchor from inside the box, only to have his shot saved.

The deadlock was finally broken by Dylan Vanney in the 74th minute. Off a VCFC corner, Tucker Lepley played a low, driven ball into the box. Vanney ran in from the top of the 18 completely unmarked and guided the ball into the far bottom corner.
