VCFC showed their resilience against Austin FC II at Parmer Field last Sunday on March 8th. Going down by 2 goals in the first half, the 805 side dug deep to level the scores in regulation time to force a penalty shootout.

The Vanney brothers, Dylan and Mason, stepped up to help their team. Dylan started the comeback with a sensational free kick from a few yards outside the box. Mason provided his first assist of the season in Austin, finding Troy Elgersma in the box for the equalizer. Sebastian Conlon did his part and then some to keep VCFC in the game. Conlon recorded 6 saves against the Texas side on top of 2 saves in the penalty shootout.
